We are now looking for Senior Software Test Engineer to join the Moxymind team to work on a long term projects for one of our clients operating in the energy industry . You will contribute to quality assurance of software systems and/or applications in order to deliver information technology components based on client or customer requirements.
As a Senior Software Test Engineer with us you will:
- Perform testing, defect management, test case management, and quality assurance activities independently, including complex system components.
- Execute comprehensive testing of new and existing software products.
- Apply your knowledge of system, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing methodologies.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex application and technical issues.
- Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components used across multiple applications.
- Analyze business requirements to design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
- Document software defects in bug tracking tools and monitor their resolution.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues, enhancements and upgrades.
- Communicate with end users and internal stakeholders to support development, debugging and testing, ensuring software accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.
- Plan and perform integration and customer acceptance testing to deliver high-quality results on time.
- Prepare detailed test plans defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and risks.
- Track and report quantitative and qualitative testing metrics and results.
- Ensure testing activities are conducted in a timely, structured, repeatable, and effective manner.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Collaborate with software engineers, test engineers, designers, and data scientists to continuously improve and optimize software solutions.
You should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in Software engineering.
- Proven record of strong technical understanding and technical leadership.
- 5 years or more of relevant industry experience.
- 5 years or more of experience of software testing experience (manual and automation) for large scale enterprise web applications.
- 5 years or more of test automation framework design and development experience
- 5 years or more of prior either functional or object-oriented coding experience in modern programming languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Python
- Strong development skills in the following technologies and tools: Cypress, MochaJS
- Strong experience in testing Webservices (REST APIs – Selenium, Cucumber, ReadyAPI, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology .
- You communicate in Slovak and English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with designing and maintaining API test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience developing automation code for CI/CD environments.
- Experience with end-to-end, system, and integration testing.
- Ability to create test scripts, test cases, and test data.
- Knowledge of SQL or other relational databases.
- Experience with Playwright and full-stack or third-party integration testing.
- Familiarity with TDD, CI practices, and code reviews.
- Experience with API gateways (e.g., Apigee) and DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience with load, security, and performance testing.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
