We are now looking for Senior Backend QA Engineer to join the Moxymind team to work on a long term projects for one of our clients operating in the heavy machinery industry. You will be part of cross-functional team, working on software testing solutions that ensure quality, reliability, and scalability. Depending on your experience and skill set, you’ll be assigned to a project where you can make the greatest impact.
As a Backend QA Engineer with us you will:
- Ensure the quality of backend services and APIs through both manual and automated testing.
- Design, implement, and execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to create and maintain effective test cases.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to resolve issues and improve test coverage.
- Build and maintain test plans, automation scripts, and testing frameworks using Karate.
- Document and report defects, testing progress, and results in a clear and structured way.
- Work in an Agile environment with CI/CD best practices and modern DevOps tools.
Tech stack (preffered/nice to have):
- Testing Frameworks & Tools: Karate (primary), Postman, Wiremock, JUnit, Cucumber.
- Programming & Automation: Python, Java, or JavaScript (basic scripting knowledge).
- API Testing: REST APIs, API gateways (Apigee or similar), backend microservices testing.
- Databases: SQL or other relational databases.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, Git, experience with automated testing in pipelines.
- Other: Experience with HCL Commerce is a strong advantage. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or others) is a plus.
What we expect from you:
- At least 5+ years of QA experience with proven leadership or mentoring skills.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining backend automation frameworks (preferably in Karate).
- Strong understanding of API testing principles and test data management.
- Proactive, analytical, and communicative team player with strong attention to detail.
